I have received no compensation in exchange for this post. I simply wanted to review this restaurant.
Coyote Grille is a lovely spot to get Southwestern inspired food in Fairfax, Virginia. It is a gem in Fairfax City and is typically clamoring with locals and newcomers. They are known for friendly service, fresh food, handcrafted cocktails, and an all season patio. The menu consists of typical Southwest faire like tacos, burritos, and fajitas. They also have soups, salads, platters, and many other creative menu options. Diners are welcome at lunch and dinner and they have a brunch menu on Sundays.
One of my favorite parts of the menu is all the seasonal items. The restaurant loves using farm fresh locally sourced ingredients when they can. Coyote Grille works with and supports local farmers to create fresh and new styles of food to serve to customers. They do this in an effort to be more environmentally friendly by the food traveling less (only 200 miles or less) and the food being exposed to less pesticides and chemicals. Also, buying from local farmers helps out the local economy. Coyote Grille enjoys supporting the local community, because the local community likes to support them!

My drink of choice when I come to Coyote Grille is always a Pink Cadillac on the rocks. It is sweet and refreshing, and I can order it any time of the year. The Pink Cadillac is a type of Margarita drink. It is a blend of tequila, orange liqueur, orange juice, lime juice, and a splash of cranberry juice to give it its signature pink color. It can be served frozen or on the rocks. The menu says it is favored drink of the singer Bruce Springsteen.

The server was kind enough to bring my table some complimentary chips and salsa. The chips had just the right amount of salt on them. The salsa tasted fresh with a little bit of spice to it. They are a perfect thing to snack on as patrons wait for food.

One of the most popular menu items are the fajitas. I decided to order the chicken fajitas and I was not disappointed. The server brought out the sizzling platter that contained the delectable dish. The plate was smoking. There was chicken, onions, red bell peppers, and green bell peppers. It was delightful.

No fajita platter is complete without the fixings. The fajitas come with flour tortillas, red rice, cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and a choice of black or refried beans. I like ordering black beans with my fajitas. All the sides really balance out the fajita platter and everything is delicious. My favorite side is definitely the red rice, it is so full of flavor.
The establishment has been very safe when it comes to COVID-19 prevention. All the servers and bartenders wore masks. The servers wore gloves when giving food to customers. Patrons can sit at the all season patio, with the tables nicely spaced out from one other. There is also spaced out seating under tents in the parking lot with heaters for customers to use as well.
The food was enjoyable. The drink was well crafted. The staff was friendly and obliging. The all season patio was a great way to eat outside and stay safe. We will definitely be coming back. I recommend it!
