Fried Rice is a dish where cooked rice is stir-fried in a wok or frying pan. It is usually mixed with ingredients like eggs, vegetables, meat or seafood. It is a very popular part of the cuisine in East, South, and Southeast Asian countries. Fried rice was first developed in China during the Sui Dynasty. There are many variations on fried rice because it is a dish that is typically made with leftover ingredients.

The first time I made Thai Fried Rice for a crowd was a whirlwind. My husband and I were hosting a dinner party and we did not have enough cold rice for the amount of guests we were hosting. Thus I made a lot of fresh rice right away and put it in the freezer to cool it faster. When I put it in the wok to cook it took up a lot of the surface area and I had to be careful when tossing the rice. In the end everyone loved it and the dinner party was a huge success. I hope that you like this recipe! Please enjoy!
