Chewbacca is a well loved character in the Star Wars franchise. Chewbacca “Chewie” is of the Wookie species from the planet Kashyyyk. His best friend is Captain Han Solo and together they have wonderful adventures! Chewbacca is a warrior, smuggler, and a resistance warrior.

May 4th is Star Wars Day. The date is significant because it is a pun on the catchphrase “May the Force be with you” by saying “May the Fourth be with you”. Legend has it that the phrase “May the Fourth be with you” was first used on May 4, 1979, which was also the day that Margaret Thatcher took office as the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister. The first organized Star Wars Day took place in 2011 in Toronto, Canada. Have a Happy Star Wars Day!
